Located opposite the yew tree covered churchyard of St Mary's sits the wonderful Falcon Inn, a charming pub dating back to 1554. It's interior matches the town house style exterior with a mix of flagstone and wooden floors in the restaurant and bar, lots of quirky décor on the walls and light flooding in through the large windows.
Behind the bar you will find various ales from around the UK including a Hooky and Wye Valley Pale Ale as well as well as a good range of craft and recognised lagers and ciders. You will also find lots of gin, around 20 different ones in fact including local ones from Cotswolds Distillery, Siblings and Bramley and Gage. There is a generous list of wines available by the glass to enjoy in the bar or with meal too.
In the restaurant you will find wonderfully fresh seasonal food and menus that cater for everyone at any time of the day with breakfasts, lunches, afternoon tea and dinner all available, as well as wonderful children's menu including a mini all day breakfast and half roasts on a Sunday. The food is traditionally British but offers little twists and is complimented by an extensive list of wines from around the world.
Upstairs you will find 11 individually styled bedrooms with a mix of twin, double and family rooms and many with views of the churchyard and countryside beyond.
The Falcon offers a great base to start your Cotswolds adventure, dine with the whole family, visit for a drink at any time of the day or hold a family celebration. It is very dog friendly and there is a convenient 20-bay car park at the rear of the pub for you to park your car and enjoy a few hours watching the world go by.
